Remember the rule about wearing light lipstick colors when you paint your lids with dark eyeshadows? Well, MAC has defied all rules about make up with this summer’s Style Warrior line. This look from MAC is definitely a bold, fierce, and bright look with sharp lines, heavy eyeshadows, and even dark lips. Colors that pop for this collection are dark purples, yellows, greens, cocoas, bronzes, and black. I also love the animal prints and safari theme for the designs of the make up collection… that’s like eye candy for your purse. In my opinion, this look is best for night out in the ATL or photo shoots because it is a lot of damn make up to be wearing at the grocery store. However, you should definitely bring out the inner style warrior in yourself at some point this season. This look would be perfect for nights when you are wearing something really simple and need an accessory to make your outfit pop. Make your face your accessory! This look is actually pretty easy, even for chicks that can’t do make up.
How to look like a Style Warrior:

Apply your game face (concealer, foundation, powder, bronzer)

Use a paintpot (I use Painterly) to give your lid a nice base.

Wet your brush and sweep an eyeshadow color (of your choice) across your lid. If you want to keep it lighter, start with a darker sweep near your lashes and blend it out as you near your eyebrows. Try yellow!

Instead of lining your upper lid, switch positions and get on the bottom. JK but yea, take a black liner and heavily line your bottom lid. At the outside corners of your eyes, draw the line up. Apply Mascara on top and bottom lashline.

Color in your lips with a vibrant color. Try an eggplant purple or cocoa brown color for a bold look or try a shimmery gloss in one of the brighter colors if you aren’t ready. Voila! You just became a Style Warrior.
This is definitely a FIERCE look... you gotta be bold! I tried duplicating this look... it looks like a lot of make up, but a very fun look.

This look is a little more subdued but still very style wrrior with the bold lines and bronzy gold, green, and silver.

applebum bubblegum double cup bum… lol jk I actually think these bright colors would look beautiful on darker canvases. I didn’t really specify which hues look good on each skin tone, so you’d basically want to work with what colors go best for you. I think the main thing to give yourself an easy at-home warrior look is to add that bottom liner. You should try it out and take a pic so we can share with fem-ales!! I’ll do it too! haha
