FA$HION Is Thy Food…

I had never heard of Prophetik before, but their concept is MUY DOPE, they are a fashion forward Organic Cotton line taking Euro Streetwear and mixing it with a visual manifestation of art, love and poetry…its like wearing a Hybrid car, your protecting our Madre Earth and lookin fly at the same damn time.

So Saturday night, Futurista, Tina,  and Moi hit up a fashion event at the Bill Hallman store in Virginia Highlands.  Speaking of this store, if you have not been, PLEASE take your wallet over there and check it out, Bill Hallman has definitely been a fav of mine. We had the best time at this event.  The night started off with a fashion show featuring the lifestyle brand Prophetik .  I had never heard of Prophetik before, but their concept is MUY DOPE, they are a fashion forward Organic Cotton line taking Euro Streetwear and mixing it with a visual manifestation of art, love and poetry…Oh and get this, they use fabrics such as hemp, soy, and recycled P.E.T, its like wearing a Hybrid car, your protecting our Madre Earth and lookin fly at the same damn time.  An indie rock group called MY Glorious, performed during the show, and they were killin it, check em’ out at www.myspace.com/mygloriousmusic.  We met the interns from their Indie label and they were cool as hell, we even invited them to party with us at MJQ afterwards (Shoutout to Rachel and her friend with the leopard tattoos from Nashvile!!!)

After the show was over everyone got to socializing, that’s what happens when you mix FREE cocktails and interesting ATLiens in one building…or in this case runway.  We met a lot of cool ass people, including ATL DJ Black Dominoes and singer/musician Frank Bell from NYC who just got off tour with Alicia Freakin Keys.   And you know its OFFICIAL when they give you free shit, we got goodie bags full of products from Whole Foods.  Atlanta is definitely coming up on the fashion game,  we’re setting trends and then leaving them there, with that said…. time for more fashion shows ATL!!!
